Essential Oils Safety and Precautions
Following are the contraindications for essential oils:
Essential oils can be hazardous, and should be handled with care:
Flammable (avoid near open flame, and store below 30oC
Irritants (to skin and can cause headaches)
Do not apply directly on skin. Always use a carrier oil. Skin patch test is recommended if sensitive
Must not make contact with eyes
Internal use can be dangerous
Caution to be taken around pets.
Do not apply on animal
Do not ingest
Do not diffuse or spray directly around animals or on their beds
Do not diffuse in a closed room with a pet
